WOLF SPIRIT SHIELD

This piece is part of the ‘Spirit Shield’ series which is loosely based on the ‘Medicine Wheel’ of the Native Americans, the ‘Mandala’ of the Tibetan and East Indians, and the ‘Wheel of the Year’ based on Celtic/Pagan Spirituality coupled with my own meditations on it’s symbolism and meanings. This piece features the four Wolves: Timber Wolf for East, Silver Wolf for South, the Black Wolf for West, and the Arctic Wolf for North. Wolf is the pathfinder and teacher in many Indian beliefs, though feared in other beliefs. The unknown and unforeseen can bring about fear yet the Wolf can take you on a path of clarity and understanding. The Moon and Wolf have a strong connection, the night huntress and her companion.
